💚 How do I apply? 💚

You wanna apply???? That’s GREAT! We are so excited about that!

We have a google form for you to fill out here! Please fill it out in as much detail as possible!

💚How Long are applications open? 💚

Applications are open currently (as of April 15, 2026), and will close at 11:59pm MOUNTAIN TIME on June 6th, 2026. Live in a different timezone? You’ll need to do some math 😂 Just be sure to get it in on time!

💚Is there an Application fee?💚

NOPE! We have had fees in the past, but we decided against it this year! Instead of fees, we have just limited the number of submissions.

Everyone gets a minimum for 2 free entries! BIPOC, Trans, and Disabled performers get one extra free submission.

We want your submissions to be very well thought out. Pick which ones you submit wisely!

💚What will performers be paid?💚

Performer pay is a guarantee of $60 per act, plus tips. Performers are also allowed to sell any merch they have during the show!

💚How many acts can I submit?💚

Everyone gets 2 free act submissions!

BIPOC, Trans, and Disabled performers get one extra free submission.

💚What types of acts are being accepted?💚

We LOVE this question!

Short answer.... we want your weirdest, creepiest, and most alternative burlesk acts.

Longer answer with some details:

  • All acts must be burlesque. Fusion acts like drag-lesque, circus-lesque, acro-lesque, are welcome! The act just must focus on the art of the tease!

  • CREEPY OR WEIRD: Alternative burlesque, WTF, metal, messy, grimy.

  • Acts should be between 3-7 minutes.

  • DID WE MENTION WE WANT THE ACTS TO BE WEIRD?

  • Seriously, we want your acts that you never dreamed would be the correct fit for a festival stage.

💚Is my act weird enough?💚

Eh. Maybe? When in doubt, make it weirder.

💚 How descriptive does my submission need to be?💚

OH MY GOD PLEASE GIVE US ALL THE DESCRIPTION. It is very surprising how similar act themes can seem on paper. Give us a mood, a vibe, colors, cool and unique aspects of your costuming or performance style. MAKE YOUR SUBMISSION STAND APART FORM OTHER SIMILAR CONCEPTS.

And stop underselling yourselves.

💚Does my video need to be of the act I am submitting?💚

YES

We need to know what we are putting on stage. This is a festival, after all. We want to know your act is well thought out, polished, and festival ready.

HOWEVER, your video submission does not need to be of a live performance. We know that it can be hard to get good video! Rehearsal videos (of the full performance, just with no audience) are acceptable.

💚Who are we looking to cast?💚

This one requires a few answers!

  • Bare minimum, all performers must be doing burlesque.

  • We would like to prioritize the submissions of BIPOC, Trans, and Disabled performers, who each get one additional submission.

  • We also are open to performers from ALL STAGES OF PERFORMANCE LIFE. This means if you are a newbie, or if you have been at this for YEARS.

  • Our main focus is performers with stage presence for miles! Give us everything you got!

💚Who is considered a newbie?💚

Everyone’s burlesque life looks different! And with lockdown happening in the not-so-distant past, it really threw a wrench in any sort of linear growth as new performers!

A “newbie” for Creeplesque Fest is any burlesque performer who:

  • has been performing for less than 2 years

  • OR has performed in under 10 shows.

  • Additionally, we are asking that you have no prior festival performances under your belt.

Last year, we had a blast doing our first Newbie Brunch Showcase and we can’t wait to bring you your own Thursday Night Showcase this year!

💚Can previous Creeplesque Performers Apply?💚

Yes! If you have been in Creeplesque before, we are open to accepting return performers (with different acts) for a few slots. We like to keep things fresh so it truly will only be a few slots, but who are we to gatekeep your weirdness????

💚 Does a rejection mean I am a bad performer? 💚

Never, ever, ever! We know that putting yourself out there in the industry is TOUGH and it can feel very cut throat. Rejection is never easy.

BUT, we assure you that rejection is not an indicator of how good of a performer you are. We will provide constructive feedback by request on any “no’s” we send out because we have yet to receive an actual “bad” performance submission.

Please take care of yourselves and know you are wonderful and valued.
